If you haven't noticed already, we have a theme going on around here, and it's
about being the bride of Christ. Before
we go into that, let us first explain how
we got our ministry name, 22One7. 22One7
(pronounced two-two-one-seven), comes from
Revelation 22:17, which says this:
"And the Spirit
and the bride say, "Come." And
let the one who hears say, "Come."
And let the one who is thirsty
come; let the one who wishes
take the water of life without cost."
- Revelation 22:17 (NASB)
You see, once you accept Jesus Christ as
Lord, you become the His bride. (Even if
you are a man! Don't worry, it's symbolic.)
The point is that one day, Jesus Christ
will come back for His bride. Will you be
ready? Will you be eagerly waiting? Or will
you be cheating on Him? Will you have a
dirty wedding dress and a torn veil?
Stephanie has had this vision of this picture
since she and Denbigh were married. God
put in her heart the importance to wash
her sisters in the water of the word and
clean them up for their wedding day. We
will all be clean before Him together.
The pictures on our website, (so graciously
taken by our good friend Cosmo Raines),
represent the bride of Christ waiting corporately
for His return.
